Have a Pedicure and Be Proud of Your Feet

Pedicures include soaking your feet and applying new, fresh nail polish regularly. Your overall model look also depends of how well taken care of your feet are.

Believe it or not, your self image has a lot to do with how well every aspect of you looks, even down to the tiniest toenail.

Regularly caring for your feet will help you feel comfortable with other people seeing your feet, especially during the hot summer months.

It also makes your feet soft and silky smooth. So make sure to give your feet lots of tender loving care often.

Pedicure Tips

  • Wear well-fitting shoes to help prevent blisters, calluses, and corns.
  • To avoid foot injury, make sure you use the proper equipment.
  • Make sure you give your feet tender loving care as well as regularly getting them regularly.
  • Keep your feet as dry as possible to prevent fungus growth.

Pedicure Steps

  1. The first step is to remove any existing nail polish from your toenails, using a non-acetone nail polish remover and a cotton ball.
  2. Trim your toenails with a toenail clipper so that they are straight across. Then use an emery board to smooth your toenails.
  3. Now fill a basin with warm soapy water, and soak your feet for approximately ten minutes. This will help soften your feet.
  4. Smooth calluses, corns, and remove the dead skin from your feet by using a pumice stone. Next, push back your cuticles, and clean under your toenails with an orangewood stick.
  5. Apply moisturizer or lotion to your feet.
  6. Take off any extra lotion from your toenails, then use a toe separator to keep your toes apart.
  7. Apply a base coat, two coats of your favorite color of nail polish, and a top coat to your toenails.
  8. Wait until your nails are dry before putting your shoes on so that you won't smudge or smear your nail polish.

Salt Soak Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice

  • Decorative Jar
  1. Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Put the mixture into a basin and soak your feet for at least five minutes.
  3. Rinse off your feet with lukewarm water, then moisturize your feet.
  4. If you plan to enjoy the bath salts later, store in a decorative jar.
