Get the Most Out of Your Lipstick

Putting on lipstick is the last step in applying your make up. Your lips are one of your most expressive facial features.

It draws attention to your smile and your lips. It also comes in five different forms; matte, long-lasting, shimmer, cream, and sheer.

Using lipcolor and lip liner makes your overall look complete.

Using lip liner will help prevent your it from feathering and bleeding.

There are so many different colors to choose from, you'll never be bored when you're in the process of application!

  • If you don't use a lip liner first, your lips can have a messy appearance.
  • If you apply only lipcolor and don't wear any other makeup, your blemishes will stand out more.
  • To make it last longer, outline your lips with lip liner, color with lip liner, and apply your lip color on top.

  • Choose a lip liner that is either the same color, or one shade darker than your lip color.

When choosing a lip liner, try to get a color that is the same shade as your lip color, or a shade lighter.

Lip liner should be smooth, not scratchy, and shouldn't smear easily, as this will also cause your it to bleed.

Lip liner should be applied before any lip color. Your lip liner should follow your natural lip line so that when you're using on lipstick (natural colors look best).

Putting on Lipstick and Lip Liner

1. Tie back your hair so that it isn't in your way.

2. Apply lip balm to your lips if they are dry, and let your lips absorb the moisture. Then blot any excess with a tissue.

3. Now, apply lip liner to the peaks of your lips, (the highest point on your top lip).

4. Then draw a small line right below your peaks on your bottom lip. Next, trace the corners of your lips with your lip liner.

5. Now you can connect the lines together so that the lines look smooth and even.

6. Now fill in your lips with your lip color. Make sure that the lip liner blends well into the surrounding lip color.

7. Gently blot your lips on a tissue, be careful not to smudge your lips, or take off too much.

8. Apply a second coat of lip gloss or lip color.
