Laetitia Casta was born in Pont-Audemer, Eure, France, on May 11, 1978.

It is reported that Laetitia began her fashion modeling career when she was just 15 years old. She was on a family vacation in Corsica, which is where her father is from, and there, was discovered by a photographer in connection with Madison Models' Agency.
