Tips on How to Apply Cheek Color
- Cheek color should be applied to the apple of your cheekbones, smile in a mirror so that you can easily see where to apply cheek color.
- Apply the cheek tint in a teardrop shape to the the apples of your cheekbones.
- Use cream cheek color if your skin is dry or mature, (otherwise it can look oily).
- If you are younger or have normal or oily skin, it is best to use powder cheek tint.
Finding Your Skin Tone

There are two types of skin tones, warm and cool. It is important to find out your skin tone because this will help determine which colors of cheek tints you should use.
- You'll need to get two pieces of cloth, one gold and one silver. (You can buy these at your local fabric store).
- Look in a mirror and hold the gold cloth up to your face, note how it makes your complexion look.
- Next, hold the silver cloth up to your face and look at your complexion.
- Determine which cloth makes your complexion look its best.
- If your face looked good with the gold cloth, you have a warm undertone.
- If your face looked its best with the silver cloth, you have a cool undertone.

How to Apply Blusher
- The first step in learning how to apply cheek color is to choose a cheek color that is suitable for your skin tone.
- Gently put some cheek tint on your brush.
- Make sure to take off the excess cheek tint off of your brush.
- Using upward diagonal strokes, gently brush your cheek color onto your cheeks.
- To obtain a matte finish, lightly apply loose translucent powder to your face.
