Alessandra Ambrosio was born April 11, 1981 in Erechim, Brazil. Alessandra is of Italian and Polish descent. She is 5 feet 10 inches tall and has brown eyes.

Most models get discovered by a modeling agency when they are young, but Alessandra had already decided that she wanted to be a model by the time she was just eight years old.

Being self-conscious about the protrusion of her ears, she had cosmetic surgery to pin back her ears at age 11. Unfortunately, for the following two years, she had complications from the surgery.

Alessandra enrolled in modeling classes at the age of 12, and began her modeling career when she was 15 years old.

This highly successful supermodel has now modeled for many famous brand names, including Guess?, Giorgio Armani, Rolex, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Revlon, and Rocco Barocco.

Appearing on the runway for Victoria's Secret since the year 2000, Alessandra is now the spokesmodel for their PINK line.

Filmography is also a part of Alessandra's lifestyle, appearing in How I Met Your Mother, The Tyra Banks Show, Project Runway, and even a small acting part in Casino Royale.
